After the magnificent 'Know Thyself?' was released this year on the Canadian Record label Interchill to much critical acclaim, Arka Sound follow-up with this stunning original collaboration with Indian Bansuri Flute Master Rahhunath Seth.
In these times of unprecedented change and impending uncertainty Suns of Arqa have once again been called to bring to the people musical solace, by evoking a return to those halcyon days through profound expression with their CD re-release 'Kokoromochi'. Featuring two classic blissed out 12 minute raga dub pieces, coupled with two extended, ecstatic and enchanting tracks from Suns of Arqa's long deleted album 'India'. 'Kokoromochi' is a deeply meditative album with the gentle and profound breath of bamboo flute virtuoso Pandit Raghunath Seth, who instinctively plays for a higher purpose. This is reflected in his mastery of the bansuri and today holds him in world renown as an illuminated exponent of Classical Hindustani Music. Dhevdhas Nair compliments the heady mix with his gifted contributions on Santoor, the 100 string instrument of Persia. While Suns' creator Michael Wadada on heavy Dub Bass take 'Kokoromochi' to gorgeous textured spaces and places that have come to define the Suns OF Arqa, making this uplifting album the ultimate chill out music.
