Geomagnetic Records presents Alien Radio a psytrance project by Sam E, India.
He started his deep exploration of sound at the age of 5 when his Father gifted him a Bongo drum, and helped him to find the connection between mankind and rhythm. Soon after, his uncle, in appreciation of his interest in sounds and music, gifted him a Casio keyboard enabling him to enter the realm of electronic generated sounds and music theory.
After toying around with the keyboard for a while, he was introduced to a TB303 synth. That was his first interaction with the saw and square waveforms which produce acid and arpeggiated sounds that make the foundation of today's electronic music. Soon he found himself getting addicted to these sounds and started listening to some of the electronic music his Father had in his collection of tapes. As this addiction continued, he rediscovered his deeper passion for rhythm and started playing drums for a few unsigned rock bands.
He was introduced to psytrance in the year 2000 by a friend and fell in love with the genre instantly. After listening to few thousand hours of psytrance and understanding the relationship each sound had with its peers in psytrance tracks, he decided to set on a quest to find more of these sounds from space far away. This led to the project Alien Radio. As a result of his journey into the vast universe of sound and music, his style of psytrance heavily focuses on melodies that are rhythmic, using East Indian chord progressions. Some of the sounds that you would hear through this project are heavy kicks, pumping and rolling basslines, percussive synths and atmospheres from far corners of the galaxy. The tracks presented through this project are made to make your body stomp hard, while your mind explores the galaxy following the sound.
