Maxie Devine and Veerus hail from the hotbed of music that is Italy.
Home to such legendary artists as Dino Lenny, Joe T Vannelli, and such well known names as Santos and Alex Dolby, the country has always left
it's mark on the music scene for the past two decades, and this production outfit are the latest in a long linage of talented names to emerge from the region,
making their major label debut on Rococo with the track 'Automatik'.
The duo's original mix is an energetic dancefloor track, heavy synth stabs and tight trigger style percussion fusing together to create the underlying
foundation of the track. Cut up loops and string elements are intricately woven throughout, building to a melodic crescendo where a series of key changes and
ethereal strings explode in a cascading wall of emotive sound, filling the room with sound.Oleg Uris provides a tough no nonense rework on the flip, the
electro influence and stabs almost instantly being comparable to The Egg's superb 'Walking Away' single from a few months back.
A subtle change later in the track is a throwback to the sounds of the 80s and 90s, but adds a unique intangible to the mix, before it slips back into it's
electro roots.
