Often Gruven is one of the latest labels to emerge out of Canada...
...with Quebec native Martin Paradis the head honcho of the label.
'Hello World' is the label's second vinyl release. The original mix of 'Hello World' is a no nonsense club stomper, with a thick and intoxicating bassline
shifting into action straight out of the opening gate. As it gets louder and louder, dense sounds ripple through the underlying groove, paving the way for
some big key arrangements which emotively rise through to the surface. An old school break offsets the intensity for a moment, this is an excellent track.
Nick Hogendoorn and Eelke Kleijn's interpretation is a dubbed out techy twist on the original, as the duo utilise effects and atmospheric fills to evoke a
sense of depth and warmth to the mix. Eelke Kleijn has gained an impressive reputation for his productios, and this mix highlights the understanding of layers
and percussive arrangements that both him and his production partner have, with this understated mix going toe to toe with the original in it's own unique
way.
