Method Records pushes forward, now on it's 41st release from newcomer Stefano Salsi.
As a label that's constantly pushed forward the idea of building the foundations for countless artists over the past few years, its a formula
that's proven to work well, and this latest release is no exception.
The a-side 'Some Candles For Me' is a great mid set builder. Tough drum percussion and subtle key changes lay the canvas for what follows, as the track
develops, shape shifting and changing, a big guitar hook sliding it's way into the foreground, whilst a substantially gratifying bassline pushes things
forward, driving through the speakers and filling the room.
The Joker takes a similar direction, albeit more stripped down and using some great analogue bass sounds to create a deep and hypnotic vibe that steadily
lures you in. The production values are somewhat old school, but there's some addictive tangible about the track that one just can't ignore. A sliding drop in
the mid centre of the track, coupled with the quirky vocal hook is guaranteed to get a reaction on the dancefloor.
