The third Elektro-Lyte release comes from Beckers (he of D-Nox and Beckers fame) and Leif Hatfield.
Collectively the duo have been working together for some time, previously as Export Audio and now as Beckers and Hatfield, with 'Spielen'
being the latest of a string of new productions the duo have been working on.The original mix kicks off with some great tripped out melodies and oscillating
sounds, with a moody sub bass brooding deep within the cavernous soundscape of the track, fading in and out of the soundscape as it starts to come together. A
cool Underworld style vocal enters into the track during its main section, Hatfield's vocal affected and grimey to fit the dark vibe of the track and adding a
great twist to an already superb dancefloor bomb.On the flip is the Tune Fish interpretation, a stripped back and techy take on the original which is somewhat
more understated and minimal in its direction, therefore more suited to an early set environment, or as a bridge tool into the original.Elektro-Lyte continues
to push forward, already establishing a distinct European sound and direction that a lot of DJs have been playing as of late. It will be interesting to see
what else this fledgling export will have to offer in the coming months.
