There is actually no need to explain the reason for a remix issue of Shanghigh by D-Nox and Beckers.
As the original, taken from the duo's successful album 'Left Behind', was a true weapon this summer on dancefloors worldwide and hot with
countless top-level-DJs. That ear-catching sequential percussion loop, which made people freak out when it gets pitched up, just screamed for further
interpretations.
When Sweden's techno heroes Minilogue, well known for their border-breaking productions on tonesetting labels such as Wagon Repair, Crosstown Rebels, Mule
Electronic and Traum Schallplatten got asked to remix 'Shanghigh', they promptly signed on the dotted line. Their remix puts that driving percussion loop even
more into the spotlight, takes it into darker and more minimalistic dimensions and cleverly plays with it over 9 minutes by building some unbelievable tricky
fills and breaks around it.
