...on the dance scene sonically manipulating sound, Shpongle finally get some of their own treatment, with a special album of Shpongle remixes.

The remix album has some stunning and varied contributions from all sorts of modern music producers, dance mixes by Eat Static and Twisted all-stars Prometheus and Tristan, a classic trancey mix by Total Eclipse, extraordinary electro from Finland's Brothomstates, electro-dub by Ott, and an amazing jazzy breakbeat mix by Twisted latest signing The Western Rebel Alliance to mention just a few.

Remixing Shpongle was always going to be a challenge that even the bravest remixer took to heart. Shpongle have taken the sound so far with their innovative ambient world dance music over the last few years both in the studio and live with a 7 piece band in Japan, that there is not much more a remixer can do.

That has been the challenge however and the remixers have risen to it well, keeping some of the original flavour while adding their own unique character and so giving the listener a new sound to Shpongle.
