This is a new project, a collaboration of classic electronic artists, Eat Statics Merv Pepler and Tangerine Dreams Steve Jolliffe.

This proved to be a dynamite combination as Mervs extensive knowledge of modern sampling methods combined with Steves classical training, from the berlin school of music alongside other famous electronic pioneers like kraftwerk to form the hi-fi companions.

Steve had even been a formative member of supertramp and over the years had developed his own production of modern music, having seen eat static and met merv in the studio he realised the similarity in tastes they have today and this connection formed the hi-fi companions and paved the way for the album, 'swingers in paradise'.
